When tracking by weight you have two options to determine the level of weight tracking you would like to record.

  • Weight (Pre And Post Weight):

Tracks the weight of your container before and after each log entry, as well as upon receipt and closure of the container.

  • Weight (Mass to Quantity Conversion):

Tracks the weight of your container at all stages and records the weight of a single unit. At the time of container closure, it automatically adjusts to determine the actual starting balance, including any overfill or underfill by the manufacturer.

Choosing the right measure type:

Both weight tracking methods offer valuable features for managing your inventory, and the right choice depends on your specific needs:

  • Weight (Pre and Post Weight) is ideal for users who want to track the weight at every stage, before and after each log entry, as well as at the start and end of the container’s lifecycle. This option offers simplicity and a direct approach to monitoring weight changes.

  • Weight (Mass to Quantity Conversion) is perfect for those who are looking for a more detailed calculation, including automatic adjustments for manufacturer overfill or underfill, and a focus on the conversion between quantity and mass. This method ensures a highly accurate starting balance for your containers.
