We provide a Calculate button that launches a user-friendly calculator to simplify the process of determining density and converting mass to quantity. This calculator is available when restocking containers or editing an existing container.

Once you calculate and enter the density, our system automatically uses that data to ensure accurate quantity removals and correct starting balances, adjusting for any manufacturer overfill or underfill. 



Step 1: Calculate Density

Formula:
Density = (Weight Before - Weight After) / Volume Removed

To begin, fill in the required fields to determine the density of the substance. Density is essential for converting mass to quantity.

Fields required:

  • Weight Before: The weight of the container before any volume is removed.

  • Weight After: The weight after some volume has been removed.

  • Volume Removed: The volume taken out of the container.

Step 2: Convert Mass to Quantity

Formula:
Conversion Factor = 1 / Density

After calculating density, click the Calculate button to generate the mass-to-quantity conversion factor. This step provides an accurate ratio, enabling precise quantity tracking based on weight.
