The log entry can be edited within the Reconcile tab. There are a few different ways that a log entry can be edited. The route to take is dependent on the scenario.

Editing to account for waste:

  • If a log entry has already been created, but the full amount was not administered to the patient, the log entry needs to be edited:
    • The previously logged weights will need to be retained (written down) before removing them by selecting the red "X". (If you do not remove the previous weights, it will be added to the waste box)

    • The pre- and post-weights will need to be re-entered next to the container that was used.
      • If you are unsure of the pre- and post-weights, these fields can be left blank.
    • The true quantity administered to the patient should be input into the quantity field
    • The additional amount withdrawn from the container but not administered should be entered into the "waste" field

    • Enter a comment explaining why you are adjusting the log entry, and enter a signature and PIN.

Editing to add an additional amount

The previous weights entered do not need to be removed.

  • If the Log Entry has already been created, locate it under the Reconcile tab, select View Details, and click on Edit.
  • Enter the next pre- and post weights and the actual quantity used.
