- If you do not see the drug name, your log book may not currently be not set up for logging this drug or the drug may have an alternate name that is listed.
- A drug will also no longer show in the log book if the Controlled Substance box has been unchecked in Create Inventory
- If you confirm that it is not present but should be:
- First, you must have administrative privileges for the account, in order to add new drugs. You can check this by going to the settings tab. If you do not see Create Inventory as an option, then you will need reach out to the VetSnap administrator in your practice for help.
- Once you gain access to settings:
- Navigate to Create inventory
- Select Create Controlled Inventory Item
- Now you are able to search by the inventory item name, or the invoice line item ID
NOTE: VetSnap is pulling the inventory information from your PIMS and there is up to a 24 hours delay between when you add the new drug to your PIMS and when it will be searchable in VetSnap. Therefore, if this is a new drug you may not find it when you initially search for it.
