When documenting drug usage, comments should specify the exact reason for which the drug was used. The DEA generally does not accept vague reasons such as "pain." The more specific the comment, the more compliant your log will be.

Examples:
- Pre-med for spay
- Sedation for dental
- Rx for pain management
