- How to open a Container:
- You can open a new container on a new log entry for that drug.
- You can also open a container under “Manage Containers”
- Unopened is a brand-new vial that still has the cap/seal intact from the manufacturer. You are NOT currently using this drug. This bottle may be in a box with other vials (i.e. buprenorphine).
- Opened is a vial you are currently using in practice everyday. You have already used the drug on patients and have current logs for that vial
- Finished means the container is empty and you are closing the container within VetSnap so it is no longer an option to create a log from. You will need to “Finish” a container in VetSnap under “Manage Containers” when it is emptied. (Be sure to account for any hub loss/manufacturer discrepancy by "making an adjustment" while under the manage container"
