• A container should have a balance of zero before it is finished. If VetSnap shows that the empty container still has a balance, or displays a negative balance you must first ensure all of your logs have been entered and are correct. Once you have confirmed this then you will need to make a manual adjustment with a comment in regards to the reason for the difference.
  • Once the container status is changed to Finished, the adjustment section will automatically populate.
    • If the balance is a positive number, you will select Adjust Current Balance Down
    • If the balance is negative, you will select Adjust Current Balance Up

Examples:

  • Hub Loss
    • If the container in your hand is clearly empty, but the quantity shown on VetSnap is showing as “0.5 mls”, this is most likely due to hub loss. When you select "Finished", the adjustment section will automatically populate. The container balance will need to be adjusted down the positive balance with the comment of “hub loss”.
  • Manufacturer Overfill
    • If the container in your hand is not empty, but VetSnap displays a negative balance warning, continue to withdraw from your container until it is physically empty.
    • Once this occurs and the container is marked as "Finished", you will need to adjust the balance up, and the comment will be "manufacturer overfill".
