• A container will be restocked as normal by going to Restock under Manage Inventory, with the addition of the following:
    • The Receive Bottle Weight is the weight of the container once it has been received in your location
    • The Before Open Bottle Weight is the weight of the container before it has been opened
    • The open weight of the container is not required until the container is opened.
    • The quantity to mass conversion number is automatically populated as "1". This converts 1 gram to 1 ml.
  • For a substance that is more dense than water - you will need to do a conversion ratio calculation
    1. First, weigh your container (in grams) - This is the pre-weight
    2. Second, withdraw 10mls of the substance
    3. Weigh the container again (in grams) - This is the post-weight
    4. Place the substance back into the container
    5. Calculate the conversion ratio as follows:
      • Step 1:

        (pre-weight) - (post weight) = (difference)

      • Step 2:

(difference) / (quantity drawn) = the weight of 1ml (mass to quantity conversion)

Example: Pre weight =152.60 grams, post weight = 141.60 grams

Ratio = 11 divided by 10 (11 gram difference between pre and post weight)

Ratio = 1.1 - This would be the conversion ratio you enter in

* Having the correct conversion rate is important to ensure you do not have inaccurate weights of containers when they are finished and empty. Also, do not forget to account for hub loss once a container is physically empty*

*** Keep in mind that while tracking by weight is good backup measure, it is most important to ensure your quantity of volume used (mLs) is accurate in your log to ensure DEA compliance***
