If a container was changed to "Finished" already, but a log entry was found to have been missing from that container:

  • Navigate to Manage Inventory, and select Manage Containers on the drug name
  • Locate the container and select Edit
  • Change the container status back to Opened
  • Navigate back to the logbook and create the missed log entry (the balance of the container will most likely go into the negative and VetSnap will give you a warning, this is okay)
  • Once the log entry has been created, navigate back to Manage Inventory and Manage Containers, select View Details on the container again, and change back to Finished
    • If the container balance is not at a zero balance, VetSnap will auto-populate for you to Make an Adjustment. Select the appropriate adjustment and enter the amount that is needed to bring the balance to zero.
      • Your comment should be specific in that you are accounting for a missed log entry and reference the patient's name, patient ID, and date

If a log entry was created under the wrong patient, but the container has since been marked as finished:

  • Navigate to Manage Inventory, and select Manage Containers on the drug name
  • Locate the container, click View Details, and select Edit
  • Change the container status back to Opened
    • Locate the log entry (if archived in the logbook. If not archived in the Reconcile section)
  • Select Ignore and add a comment stating why you are ignoring the log entry and confirm the ignore.
  • Navigate to the logbook and create a new log entry for the correct patient.
  • Change the container back to Finished from within Manage Containers
