Where Can I Find the Invoice Number?

The invoice number is printed on the invoice included in the shipment box. Its exact location depends on the distributor.

  • Note there is a section to enter the distributor. The distributor will be located on the invoice.

Where Can I Find the NDC and Lot Number?

The NDC (National Drug Code) and lot number are printed on the container label. In some cases, the NDC may be displayed as an NADA number instead. If you're unable to locate the NDC/NADA number, contact the manufacturer for assistance.

  • The lot number is a unique identifier assigned by the manufacturer to track a specific batch of medication.

How Should I Input the NDC for VetSnap PDMP Submissions?

For Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) submissions using VetSnap, enter the NDC as an 11-digit number without dashes. If your NDC is not 11 digits, refer to the NDC Number Conversion guide for assistance.

  • Note if your state does not require 11 digits, this would need to be turned off within your PMP Settings

How Should I Name My Containers?

We suggest naming containers using the year followed by a dash and a sequential number (e.g., "2022-1" or "22-1", "2022-2" or "22-2", etc.). However, if your practice already has a numbering system, you may continue using your existing format.
