The "Awaiting Disposal" status is used for containers that are no longer in active use but are still physically at your hospital. This includes containers that are expired or awaiting shipment to a reverse distributor.
You can update a container's status to "Awaiting Disposal" as soon as it is no longer in use and is waiting to be disposed of, even if it's still on-site.


How to change a container’s status to "Awaiting Disposal"?

  • Go to Manage InventoryManage Containers.

  • Click View Details on the container you want to update.

  • Click Edit.

  • Change the container status to "Awaiting Disposal".

  • Enter your signature and PIN, then click Save.



What do I do once the container has left the hospital?
Once the container is no longer in your facility’s possession (e.g., it has been shipped to a reverse distributor), you can finalize the process by selecting "Record Waste" under Manage Inventory.
